Dental braces are a type of orthodontic treatment used to correct teeth that are crowded, crooked, protruding, out of alignment or have irregular spacing. By moving the teeth into the ideal position, dental braces help to create a more attractive and healthier smile for both children and adults
For comprehensive orthodontic treatment, most commonly, metal wires are inserted into orthodontic brackets (dental braces), which can be made from stainless steel or a more aesthetic ceramic material. The wires interact with the brackets to move teeth into the desired positions.
To start, we need to take panorama, cephalomeric X-ray, and impression to make model in addition to regular X-ray and exam. Then we offer 3 types of braces.
Traditional Silver Braces
Traditional metal braces are the most common type of braces seen today. The brackets are made with a high-grade stainless steel and have remarkably been reduced in size in recent years for more comfort. Thin, flexible archwires are engaged in the brackets with elastics. Elastics come in many colors and allow for customizing the look of your braces at each office visit.
Ceramic (Tooth-colored) Braces
Ceramic braces are less visible than traditional braces, and offer a more esthetic approach to orthodontic treatment. For that reason, ceramic braces are usually used on older teenagers and adults who have cosmetic concerns.
nvisalign uses a series of invisible, removable and comfortable aligners to straighten your teeth. And, no one can tell you are wearing Invisalign because they're virtually invisible! Not only are the aligners invisible, they are removable so you can eat and drink what you want while in treatment, plus brushing and flossing are less of a hassle. The aligners are comfortable and have no metal to cause mouth abrasions during treatment.
